Pre-Approved Professional Development Unit Activities for CITPs
Are you looking for activities to complete your PDU requirements?
The Pre-Approved Professional Development Unit (PDU) Activities listing has been developed to support CITPs in sourcing activities to complete their PDU requirements.
The activities listed below have been pre-approved by FITT as acceptable activities to earn PDUs and have been organized to showcase PDU opportunities delivered by FITT and by external providers. Each activity has been assessed to confirm its alignment with the eligible activities listed in the CITP Candidate Handbook. CITPs may be awarded up to the maximum value of PDUs stated for each activity listed on the listing.
CITPs are still required to complete the activity and submit all information and evidence related to the activity using the Tracking System located under the CITP Designation Holder – Professional Development Activities page of the FITT user platform.

- CITP Candidate Handbook

- Video on Capturing Your PDUs
- And more
The listings are only provided as possible activities. CITPs may still submit other activities that meet the PDU requirements.

Submission of Activities for Pre-Approval
Do you know of an activity that other CITPs might be interested in benefitting from?
Submit your suggestions to us at certification@fitt.ca for consideration!
If you are looking to submit a webinar, training event, seminar, online learning, or other activity for consideration, please include the following information:
- Title of activity
- Provider of activity
- Description
- Date and duration
- Fee associated with this activity, if any
- Supporting evidence/documentation to confirm details
- Link to event/activity page, if available
The FITT Certification Team will review the details and will notify you of the decision. If the activity is approved, it will be added to the pre-approved listings below.
For submission sent by presenters or providers of an activity which have been approved, FITT will notify you with confirmation of pre-approval and the information you can use to promote the number of PDUs the activity is valued at.
Activities are posted once per week on Thursday. Submissions for pre-approval must be received by Monday at 15:00 ET to be featured within that same week.
All postings will remain on the listings page for six months after the activity has taken place.
Important considerations:
- The number of PDUs listed below are the maximum hours/units for each activity. The exact number of PDUs awarded will be determined upon review of your PDU submission request.
- The activity listings are updated and subject to change as determined by FITT.
