Step 1: Complete the FITTskills Training Program or Equivalent Program
The FITTskills program focuses on helping you develop the core competencies that are essential to succeeding in today’s competitive global marketplace. By successfully completing the FITTskills courses, or a FITT-accredited program*, you’ll develop industry-validated knowledge and skills and you’ll satisfy the educational requirements for the CITP®|FIBP®designation.

Earn Professional Credentials

Step 3: Complete, or prove, at least 12 months of international business experience
The application of your international business knowledge is just as important as acquiring it. So, to apply for your CITP®|FIBP® designation, you must complete a minimum of 12 months of professional experience in a position where the majority of your responsibilities relate to international trade.
Step 4: Prepare your CITP®|FIBP® application and apply online
Once you’ve met the educational and work experience requirements for the CITP®|FIBP® designation, you can prepare your CITP®|FIBP® application. Submit your application along with a detailed and up-to-date CV and contact information for two individuals who can attest to your global business experience, such as clients, colleagues or supervisors.
